There is no issue too large or small to seek assistance for. I am committed to helping my clients reach their optimal potential in mental, emotional, and social growth. I believe that self-awareness and personal identity are the very heart and core of individuals. My mission is to assist your growth by walking alongside you and providing a non-judgmental, empathetic and safe place to work through any issues, personal development, relationship concerns, and conflict. Together, we can find solutions and develop plans and skills to handle life’s twists and turns.
I enjoy working with all age groups addressing a variety of mental health concerns and have a passion for helping women live their best lives. I believe everyone is unique and therefore distinctive techniques may need to be used for each individual. I take an eclectic approach but lean towards humanistic, parts work, attachment and NARM perspectives.
One of the greatest joys is discovering your own resilience and self-perception. While it may not always be easy, it’s definitely worth it. Jointly, we can make sure that growth happens in a healthy and productive way, so that you may build a fulfilling life infused with strong relationships and positive experiences that match your wonderful uniqueness.
“We are not animals. We are not a product of what has happened to us in our past. We have the power of choice!”
~ Stephen Covey
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Mental Health Services also known as modes or types of mental health care sessions can be given in a variety of formats, including:
Each stage of life creates different challenges to good mental health. Eating right, staying physically active, getting enough sleep, and having health relationship will help support good mental health & wellness throughout life.
An accurate diagnosis and an age-appropriate treatment program is crucial when one is suffering from mental health issues such as depression, anxiety or other mental health disorder. I offer services for:
Mental health crises range from the worries we all experience as part of everyday life to traumatic mental health crisis or serious long-term conditions. A mental health crisis is a difficult life situation where a person’s coping strategies do not work. People in crisis feel helpless and distressed, they feel like they are loosing control over their life.
I am trained to help people experiencing a crisis and can teach skills and strategies to more effectively manage crisis situations. Some of my client concerns and mental health crisis & disorder specialties include:
Psychotherapy, also referred to as talk therapy, psycho-social therapy, counseling, or, simply, therapy, is the primary method for treating mental health problems by talking with a mental health provider. The goal is the help an individual better understand their mental health and teach strategies and tools that manage unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.
While there are many approaches to psychotherapy, there is no single approach that works for everyone. A therapist may use a blended approach, sampling techniques from several different types of psychotherapy. The kind of psychotherapy a person receives depends on his or her own unique needs.
Below are some of the types of psychotherapy I utilize.
Community can be defined in many ways, but when simplified down to its most important element, community is all about connection. Community is not just an entity or a group of people, it’s a feeling. It’s feeling connected to others, feeling accepted for who you are and feeling supported.
We’re social beings, and we are not meant to live in isolation. Community is critical for us to thrive, especially for someone with mental illness who is already experiencing the common symptoms of loneliness and isolation. Below are some of the communities I work with to help provide a sense of belonging, support and purpose.
Morgan Health Centers and its Affiliates are outpatient centers and NOT an emergency care facility. In case of an emergency please contact a primary care physician or the local emergency room, police or 911.
Those with disabilities often face major barriers getting the health care services they need. Research shows that, compared to people with out disabilities, people with disabilities are less likely to receive comprehensive preventative care. Improving physical access to health care services is essential to achieving health equity.
We recognize the needs of patients with disabilities, and make every effort to comply with state and federal accessibility regulations and accommodate these patients.
