My Approach to Helping

There is no issue too large or small to seek assistance for. I am committed to helping my clients reach their optimal potential in mental, emotional, and social growth. I believe that self-awareness and personal identity are the very heart and core of individuals. My mission is to assist your growth by walking alongside you and providing a non-judgmental, empathetic and safe place to work through any issues, personal development, relationship concerns, and conflict. Together, we can find solutions and develop plans and skills to handle life’s twists and turns.

I enjoy working with all age groups addressing a variety of mental health concerns and have a passion for helping women live their best lives. I believe everyone is unique and therefore distinctive techniques may need to be used for each individual. I take an eclectic approach but lean towards humanistic, parts work, attachment and NARM perspectives.

One of the greatest joys is discovering your own resilience and self-perception. While it may not always be easy, it’s definitely worth it. Jointly, we can make sure that growth happens in a healthy and productive way, so that you may build a fulfilling life infused with strong relationships and positive experiences that match your wonderful uniqueness.

“We are not animals. We are not a product of what has happened to us in our past. We have the power of choice!”

~ Stephen Covey

Therapy Modes

Modes and types of mental health care are as varied as the individuals who seek therapeutic support. While there are some therapeutic models that are more popular than others, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to mental health care. Nuances in the types and modes of therapy will support different people in different ways. Depending on the situation in which an individual or group of individuals are seeking therapeutic support, there are several different modes of therapy that Carli utilizes.

  • Individuals
  • Group Therapy
  • Telehealth

Treatment Approaches

Psychotherapy, also referred to as talk therapy, psycho-social therapy, counseling, or, simply, therapy, is the primary method for treating mental health problems by talking with a mental health provider. The goal is the help an individual better understand their mental health and teach strategies and tools that manage unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.

While there are many approaches to psychotherapy, there is no single approach that works for everyone. A  therapist may use a blended approach, sampling techniques from several different types of psychotherapy. The kind of psychotherapy a person receives depends on his or her own unique needs. Below are some of the types of therapy Carli utilizes.

  • Acceptance and Commitment (ACT)
  • Attachment-based
  • Coaching
  • Eclectic
  • Family Systems
  • Humanistic
  • Interpersonal
  • Jungian
  • Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)
  • NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)
  • Neurofeedback
  • Person-Centered
    Trauma Focused

Communities

Community can be defined in many ways, but when simplified down to its most important element, community is all about connection. Community is not just an entity or a group of people, it’s a feeling. It’s feeling connected to others, feeling accepted for who you are and feeling supported.

We’re social beings, and we are not meant to live in isolation. Community is critical for us to thrive, especially for someone with mental illness who is already experiencing the common symptoms of loneliness and isolation. Below are some of the communities Cali works with to help provide a since of belonging, support and purpose.

  • Bisexual Allied
  • Gay Allied
  • Lesbian Allied
  • Non-Binary Allied
