Morgan Primary Health Care Professional
Tami M. Morgan,
Licensed Professional Counselor - Clinical Director
Tami is a level I PACT couples therapist trained in the psychobiological approach to couples therapy. Using the principles of neuroscience, attachment theory, and biology of human arousal Tami will support you while assisting you in learning powerful strategies to implement desired change in your relationship.
Tami’s initial training in master’s level clinical work began at Pacifica Graduate Institute. This individual focused training emphasizes psychological forces such as feelings and emotions that influence behaviors. In essence, asking how our pasts effects our present. Tami’s ongoing training consists of specializations in treating Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Throughout the process of our human life, we cross thresholds into new life experiences that open opportunities of individual awareness. These personal awakenings create openings to moments of becoming greater than what we currently are. Together, we explore life experiences; creating meaning and purpose in moments of everyday living.
Therapy Modes
Modes and types of mental health care are as varied as the individuals who seek therapeutic support. While there are some therapeutic models that are more popular than others, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to mental health care. Nuances in the types and modes of therapy will support different people in different ways.
Depending on the situation in which an individual or group of individuals are seeking therapeutic support, there are several different modes of therapy that Tami utilizes.
- Individuals
- Family Therapy
- Marriage & Couples Counseling
- Relationship Counseling
- Telehealth

Therapy Approaches
Psychotherapy, also referred to as talk therapy, psycho-social therapy, counseling, or, simply, therapy, is the primary method for treating mental health problems by talking with a mental health provider. The goal is the help an individual better understand their mental health and teach strategies and tools that manage unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.
While there are many approaches to psychotherapy, there is no single approach that works for everyone. A therapist may use a blended approach, sampling techniques from several different types of psychotherapy. The kind of psychotherapy a person receives depends on his or her own unique needs.
Below are some of the types of psychotherapy Tami utilizes.
- Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT)
- Jungian Psychology
- Developmental Therapy
- Dream Analysis
- Integration of Different Therapy Models
- Psychodynamic
- Psychotherapy
- Object Relations
- Narrative Therapy
- Trauma Focused

Screenings, Assessments & Evaluations
Mental health determination tools are used throughout the therapeutic process to determine whether someone could benefit from seeking professional mental health treatment, describe and diagnose problems, increase knowledge, insight and understanding. These tools aid both the patient and professional in creating or modifying treatment plans and measuring progress during the treatment.
Mental Health Screenings are informal symptom checks.
Typically checklists or short questionnaires that ask people to consider if they experience a given symptom and answer yes or no.
