Visiting with your health provider for the first time can be exciting, especially after you’ve spent time scouring reviews and comparing providers to find the perfect one for you and your family. At the same time it’s also normal to feel a little nervous. You’re not quite sure what to expect during that first appointment. 

Whether you’re feeling a little anxious or you simply want to be as prepared as possible, here are some answers to some of the questions you might have about your first visit to Morgan Mental Health.

Yes, all providers are accepting new patients.

When calling to schedule an appointment please have the following patient information ready:

  • Patient’s full name (including middle initial)
  • Date of birth
  • Current address and phone number
  • Current insurance information
  • Provider’s name who you wish to schedule appointment with
  • Purpose of the appointment*

*It is important to let the scheduler know about all of the concerns you would like addressed during your appointment so we can schedule the appropriate amount of time to care for your needs.

Missing your appointment is certainly something we don’t want to happen to our patients. Depending on what form of communication you prefer, we can send appointment reminders via email or text, in addition to a courtesy phone call. We can also provide you with a written appointment card you can stick to your fridge or keep in your wallet.

Morgan Health Centers accepts several Health Insurance plans. If you want to know if your insurance is accepted, please visit our In & Out of Network Insurance Information page. We advise you to contact your insurance carrier to verify we are on your plan prior to your visit and to verify your benefit.

For your convenience, our practices accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express).

The basics for what to bring include your insurance cards, a list of any current medications you’re taking (including herbal and vitamin supplements), and any notes about your medical history.

Please feel free to contact us with any billing questions you may have.
If you are calling on behalf of a patient, please note that the staff will not be able to provide information to you if the patient does not have a signed HIPAA release form on file.

You’ll be welcomed into our office and your new patient forms will be completed. You will meet with a Health Care Provider and discuss your concerns and treatment plan.

For your initial appointment please arrive 20-30 minutes early to complete the new patient intake forms. Thereafter, arrive 10-15 minutes early.

Please call our office, (208)890-7165 , as soon as you realize you will not be able to keep your appointment. It is our policy that all cancellations be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.

When you make an appointment with a clinician at our practice, we reserve that time especially for you. We do not overbook our appointments because we feel that our patients deserve to be seen in a timely manner. Just as you deserve your providers full attention during your appointment, we greatly appreciate knowing in advance when a patient is unable to keep their appointment. If you should need to cancel an appointment, please be aware of our requirement of at least 24-hour notice.

We want to ensure that all individuals have access to quality physical therapy care. We offer affordable rates for patients without insurance or who wish to not use their insurance. For self-pay accounts, payment must be made at the time of service.

Yes. As a service to our patients, primary insurance is billed. If we accept your insurance, we will file claims on your behalf. All co-payments are due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made.

It is vital for you to understand exactly what your health care insurance policy will provide. You are responsible to pay any required co-pays and deductibles. Your insurance company dictates whether you should be billed for any unpaid balances. Not all health care plans offer the same benefits.

Providing quality care is our primary concern, and we are more than willing to provide that care within your insurance contract guidelines. However, as those guidelines differ from one policy to another, it is your responsibility to know your coverage based on your insurance plan.

Like most medical practices, we require that you pay your co-pay at the time of your appointment. It is also the expectation, and often the requirement of your insurance company to do so at the time of service. The purpose of the co-pay is to off-set the cost of your insurance premiums.

In order to keep your electronic medical record safe, we need to validate your identity in the office. We will email you an invitation to join TherapyPortal.
Please follow the directions provided in the email invitation to enroll. You will need to enter a “security code” which is in your email invitation.
