All children have emotional ups and downs, moodiness, trouble with friends, changes in grades. Some moodiness, anxiety, social and school difficulties are to be expected. But when emotional meltdowns, anger or isolation become common or severe, many parents are not sure what to do. If these challenges arise in your child’s life, we can help.

Mental health issues are common. Untreated mental health issues often get worse and may have other negative effects. If you experience any of the following emotions or feelings to the extent that they interfere with life, therapy may help you reduce their effects. It’s especially important to consider getting help if you feel controlled by symptoms or if they could cause harm to yourself or others.
As we get older, we may go through a lot of changes—death of loved ones, retirement, stressful life events, aging and geriatric issues or medical problems. It’s normal to feel uneasy, stressed, or sad about these changes. After adjusting, many older adults feel well again. Aging is a natural process that may present challenges for some individuals and their families.
